Who to ask for advice...

Concern over a significant decline in memory or increase in confusion

All dementias are progressive and each person will experience changes in their memory, behaviour and daily living in their own way.   If you are concerned about these changes as there has been a significant decline in memory or functioning or an increase in confusion, make an appointment with your GP.  Your GP may decide to refer you back to RICE.  Sometimes there are health reasons for a sudden decline such as an infection which your GP can treat.

Please contact the Alzheimer’s society Dementia Support Workers.  They offer information and practical guidance to help you understand the condition, cope with day-to-day challenges and prepare for the future.
