Volunteering

Would you like to play a part in the fight to improve the quality of life of people with dementia?

If you have some spare time and would like to help, there are various ways to volunteer with RICE:

  • fundraising
  • admin support in the RICE Centre

Fundraising volunteer

Fundraising volunteers can help us on a regular basis or a few times a year depending on availability. There’s much more to fundraising than just rattling a bucket. In fact, there’s no limit to the imaginative ways in which you can help us raise money. Fundraising is fun, rewarding and a great opportunity to meet lots of new people.  No qualifications or experience are required.

Ways to help include:

  • Bag packing ***Currently in need of helpers for 11am - 1pm or 1pm - 3pm on Friday 25th November and Friday 9th December***

  • Selling raffle tickets
  • Selling Christmas Cards
  • Street Collections
  • Manning stalls  or stewarding at various events/fairs

Please contact the fundraising office if you would like to be kept informed of future volunteering oppertunities.

Admin support

Our busy Memory Clinic means there’s plenty of work to do keeping admin and filing up-to-date. If you could spare a few hours each week to help out at the RICE Centre, please get in touch and we can explain how you’ll be able to help.
