Community Memory Screening Clinic

These are clinics run by nurses or psychologists for people over 50 years of age who live in Bath and North East Somerset and who feel that they have a memory problem. The purpose is to distinguish between early dementing illness and memory/concentration problems due to other causes such as stress and bereavement.

What happens at the Clinic?

The procedure includes a general health questionnaire, a brief history of memory problems and neuropsychological tests. The nurse or psychologist will discuss your results with you and the report, with your permission, is sent to your GP. You may then be referred to the main Memory Clinic if this is felt to be appropriate.

These clinics are held in Bath, Radstock and Keynsham. We hold two clinics a month in Bath and a clinic every other month in Radstock and Keynsham.

If you live in the Bath area and would like to attend a Memory Clinic please email us info@rice.org.uk or ring us on 01225 476420 for further information or to make an appointment.
